Healing First is a mindfulness-driven initiative dedicated to providing mental health support to students in India as they navigate various challenges. By integrating mindfulness practices, this program aims to help students develop emotional resilience in the face of academic pressure, exam anxiety, family expectations, emotional stress, and uncertainty about the future.
Join our in-person or virtual mindfulness workshops that emphasize essential skills such as mindfulness practices, emotional resilience, and self-awareness. These workshops also focus on enhancing emotional intelligence and building emotional resilience, alongside effective problem solving and stress management techniques. By incorporating mindfulness practices through creative arts, theater, storytelling, and various activities, we provide vital mental health support while actively engaging students in self-expression.
Students will have access to personalized therapy sessions tailored to their individual needs, providing professional mental health support that enhances emotional resilience and incorporates mindfulness practices to address deeper emotional challenges.

A series of online mindfulness sessions designed to help students: ○ Understand and integrate mindfulness practices into their daily lives, ○ Build habits of self-care and stress reduction, ○ Explore topics like gratitude, emotional resilience, and emotional regulation. This program offers essential mental health support and practical tools to ensure students stay on track.
A safe and supportive space where students can connect, share their experiences, and engage in mindfulness practices together, enhancing their emotional resilience. Each student is paired with a 'mindfulness buddy' to foster accountability, encouragement, and mutual support, which contributes significantly to their overall mental health support.
This simple mindfulness practice handbook is designed for students to cultivate emotional resilience and engage in mindfulness practices at their own pace. The handbook offers easy-to-follow exercises that support daily emotional regulation, stress management, and various mindfulness practices, all aimed at enhancing overall mental health support.

Pawan Chaturvedi is an education and life skills advisor with over 11 years of cross-sectoral experience spanning public education systems, nonprofit leadership, and corporate operations. He specializes in the systemic integration of life skills, social-emotional learning (SEL), and emotional resilience, alongside teacher capacity-building, curriculum design, and government collaboration. Currently serving as Associate Lead Manager at Dream a Dream, Pawan leads strategic partnerships with the governments of Delhi and Punjab to strengthen life skills education through policy support, training design, and on-ground implementation, which includes vital mental health support initiatives. His earlier roles at SCERT Delhi and Azim Premji Foundation deepened his expertise in public system engagement, mentoring, and program scale-up, focusing on mindfulness practices that promote student well-being. Pawan’s professional journey began in the corporate sector with engineering roles at Lupin Ltd. and Huhtamaki Paper Products Ltd., equipping him with strong analytical and operational skills. He holds a B.Tech in Biochemical Engineering from BCT Kumaon Government College Dwarahat and a Diploma in Electronics Engineering from Government Polytechnic Dehradun. With a unique blend of field experience, systems thinking, and creative facilitation, Pawan advises on designing inclusive, scalable education programs that foster well-being and equitable learning outcomes.

In her role as a facilitator and curriculum developer at Dream a Dream, she was committed to enhancing the lives of young learners through Life Skills Education, which integrates mindfulness practices and mental health support. She had the privilege of working on Project Sampoorna in Jharkhand, collaborating with school teachers and government bodies to design and implement comprehensive Life Skills modules. This dynamic role allows her to fuse her expertise in curriculum development with the practical application of facilitating life skills programs in a region with its unique context and challenges. Her work is not just a job but a calling, as she firmly believes that Life Skills Education is the cornerstone of building resilient, confident, and empathetic individuals. It is her mission to equip students with the knowledge and abilities they need to thrive in the modern world, and she is proud to be part of a team dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the educational landscape of Jharkhand.
